National Overview of the Cannabis Industry in the U.S.

40 states have legalized cannabis or hemp in one form or another. That’s 28 states with medical marijuana, 8 states with adult use marijuana, and 17 states have some form of legalization of hemp or CBD, which is the non-psychoactive cannabinoid that comes from the hemp plant and helps with seizure disorders. So in 40 states there’s some form of legalization, and 60% of Americans live in a place where either adult use or medical is legalized, and we’re seeing record levels of support for the legalization of cannabis in one form or another.

We have 60% of Americans supporting adult use legalization, and up to 90% of Americans supporting medical marijuana legalization. So, the industry is already an 8 billion dollar a year industry, and it’s expected to grow to 20 billion dollars in the next 5 years. If cannabis were legal nationwide, it would be more revenue than all professional sports combined. It would be a 60 billion dollar a year industry, so clearly the cannabis movement has arrived. It’s here to stay. It has public support, and I think it is a good time to consider getting involved in the cannabis industry. We are still at the beginning of this industry, and there’s still time to get involved and be successful.
